1. Who can help me get an address?

• If the parcel you need an address for is within our addressing jurisdiction (not in a municipality), we can help you! 
  • In most circumstances addresses can be assigned within 14 days. Request your address using this form.
• If the parcel you need an address for is within a municipality or on the Navajo Nation, reach out to the town or city your parcel is in. [link to Addressing Authorities data]

2. Who can help me "verify my address"?

Sometimes the Post Office, a mortgage company, or some other entity will want to see an "address verification" for a property. 

• We can help you! 
  • In most circumstances addresses can be verified very quickly, but in some cases may take up to 14 days. 
  • Request your verification using this form, or by emailing gis@coconino.az.gov with:
    • Parcel number or account number
    • contact name, phone number, and email.

3. Who can help me change the physical address of my property?

• If the address you want to change is within our addressing jurisdiction (not in a municipality), we can help you! 
  • In most circumstances addresses can be changed within 14 days. Request your address change using this form.
  • In some cases, we may need to discuss the situation with you, to ensure the address meets all applicable rules. 
• If the address you want to change is within a municipality or on the Navajo Nation, reach out to the town or city your parcel is in. [link to Addressing Authorities data]

4. Who can help me change my mailing address for my taxes?

The addresses on file for your taxes are kept by the assessor. 

You can fill out this online form or call the Coconino County Assessor's office at 928-679-7962. Once you update your mailing address with the Assessor, it will also update in the parcel viewer.

5. Who can help me get a street name?

We can help! Streets that aren't related to a subdivision can be named if:

• the requestor can prove legal access / easements
• the street name is acceptable to applicable agencies (we'll handle getting these approvals for you!) 
  • GIS, emergency response and USPS sign off on all street names. 
  • If applicable, Fire districts also sign off on street names.

Here is the process we'll follow:

• The street naming petition process offers the opportunity to provide feedback, and is sent to all property owners served by the road that is to be named.
• We will send out letters to all property owners served by the road, with a 2 week timeframe for responses. 
  • For newly named streets, a majority (51%) of property owners served by the proposed street must support the name. Non-response after 14 days does not count as a protest. 
  • For changes to street names, 100% of property owners must submit a petition saying they support the change.

To get started, send us an email at gis@coconino.az.gov, and provide the following: 

• proof of legal access (easements) for the length of the road to be named. We can help you determine if these easements are already on record, if you don't know.
• your top 3 choices for street name [guidelines]
• your parcel number
• your name, phone number(s), and email address

6. What is my Zip code / town?

The post office is the authority that designates zip codes and towns. You can check their zip code finder for the best available information.

7. How long does it take for a property purchase to show up on the Parcel Viewer?

It depends. If you are seeing out of date owner information on the Parcel Viewer, we can check in with the Assessor and see where the parcel is in the process.

• the applicable parcel number(s)
• who the ownership should be changing to, and when the sale was made.
• your name, phone number(s), and email address.

9. How can I access free GIS data?

Several types of GIS data are freely available for download. Go to Coconino County Open Data.

10. How can I buy Coconino County parcel data?

Coconino County's Parcel Data falls under the County-wide User Fee structure described here.

To purchase Parcel Data: 

• review the information on our GIS Products and Fees page, 
• fill out the appropriate (Non Commercial or Commercial) User License Agreement and Data Request form
• send the form to us at gis@coconino.az.gov. 
• Payment is currently by check only, which can be dropped off or mailed to the address on the Data Request form.

What will your parcel data purchase include?

• includes parcel boundaries, parcel numbers (APN), and account numbers.

11. How can I find the legal description of my property?

Legal descriptions are held by the Coconino County Assessor’s office, 928-679-7962.

12. How do I pay my property taxes?

14. How do I buy LiDAR data?

Coconino County's LiDARl Data falls under the County-wide User Fee structure described here.

To purchase LiDAR Data: 

• fill out the LiDAR Request Form
• Payment is currently by check only, which can be dropped off or mailed to the address on the Data Request form.
