Flagstaff, AZ - As many of you already know the attendance for the Blue Ridge Neighborhood Watch meeting held in November of 2012 was very low. This was attributed to the onset of the Winter Season and the belief that many of the seasonal residents had already transitioned to their winter homes. As several of the Blue Ridge Neighborhood Watch Volunteers called participants to invite them to a December pot luck meeting it was apparent that participation for that event would also be very low and for that reason it was also cancelled. Following the normal progression of our scheduled neighborhood watch meetings (second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm) our next meeting would be Wednesday, January 9, 2013. In speaking with Coconino County Sheriff’s Blue Ridge Community Deputy Rick Shouse and the Blue Ridge Fire Chief Chuck Buddle we believe that attendance for this meeting would also be very low.
With the approval of the Blue Ridge Community we would like to postpone our Monthly Neighborhood Watch Meetings until Wednesday, March 13, 2013 when seasonal residents begin to return to the area. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this decision please contact Gerry Blair at the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office at (928) 226-5089.
