[ARCHIVED] Winter Storm Watch From Wed 12 am until Thu 5 am MST

WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING ABOVE 3500 FEET... 

WHAT...Heavy snow possible above 3500 feet. Total snow accumulations of 12 to 22 inches above 6000 feet, 6 to 12 inches from 4500 to 6000 feet, and 2 to 6 inches below 4500 feet possible. Snow levels 4000 to 5000 feet through Wednesday afternoon, falling to valley floors Wednesday evening. Winds could gust as high as 40 to 50 mph. 

WHERE...Areas above 3500 feet near Buffalo Pass, Chinle, Chino Valley, Cottonwood, Dilkon, Doney Park, Flagstaff, Forest Lakes, Fredonia, Ganado, Grand Canyon, Heber-Overgaard, Jacob Lake, Kayenta, Kykotsmovi, North Rim, Paulden, Payson, Pine- Strawberry, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Sedona, Seligman, Shonto, Valle, Williams and Window Rock. 

WHEN...From late Tuesday night through early Thursday morning. 

IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
