Deputies Recover Stolen Railroad Property in Kaibab Estates West
ASH FORK, AZ –
On April 12, 2021 Coconino County Sheriff’s Office Deputies out of the Williams Substation were notified by BNSF Railroad Police that railroad property had been stolen from a work site near the railroad tracks north of the I40 and Welch Rd intersection, west of the city of Williams. There were several items that were reported stolen, to include power tools.
On April 13th during another investigation deputies received information that there was stolen property, to include power tools, at a residence in Kaibab Estates West north of Ash Fork. Deputies followed up with the information provided and located some of the stolen BNSF property at the described residence. Deputies wrote a search warrant to search the remainder of the residence for additional stolen property. This search warrant was granted and during the search most of the items reported stolen to BNSF Police were recovered. The items were estimated to be worth over $4,000.
At this time, no arrests have been made in this case. However, Deputies and Detectives continue to investigate the theft case and are following up on additional investigative leads.
