The Assessor’s Office mailed the 2015 Notice of Change in Assessment on September 30, 2014. This Notice advises property owners of any changes to their 2015 property values or legal class for tax purposes. IT IS NOT A TAX NOTICE.
If you disagree with the value or legal class change, you have 25 days from the mail date listed on the notice to file a petition with the Board of Equalization. This year the deadline date that Petitions must be received by the Board of Equalization is October 27, 2014. The petition form can be found at the link below, or you can request a form from the Assessor’s office by phone or in person. The petition form is submitted directly to the Board of Equalization at 219 E Cherry Ave.
