The Evidence Technician maintains the chain of custody for evidence and property. As part of his role in maintaining the chain of custody, he manages the evidence and property room. Some of the property that is managed includes evidence from crime scenes, found property, and weapons that must be surrendered to the Sheriff’s Office under court orders such as orders of protection.
