29 September 2023: This week’s work on the Kona Trail Pavement Rehabilitation: Kachina Trail to Bird Springs Ovi Project included the milling of existing pavement, isolated roadway repairs, and paving along Kona Trail.
Next week’s work is slated to include the start of guardrail installation, raising manholes and water valves and the pouring of concrete collars.
Project Overview
The Kona Trail Pavement Rehabilitation: Kachina Trail to Bird Springs Ovi Project includes a 2-inch pavement mill & fill of Kona Trail from Kachina Trail to Bird Springs Ovi (Approximately 1,500 ft). Work shall also include construction of a 2-foot-wide roadway shoulder build-up with recycled millings, damaged sidewalk panel replacement, curb ramp replacement, damaged concrete headwall replacement, and guardrail installation.
