The Coconino and Kaibab National Forests have issued area closures, therefore, certain portions of the forest are closed due to the high risk of wildfire. Individuals who reside in these area closures of the forest should vacate. Coconino County Health and Human Services is working with community partners including Catholic Charities, Flagstaff Shelter Services, and NACA (Members of the Social Safety Net Coalition) to ensure those who reside in the forest have access to safe sheltering services.
