Featured Job of the Week: Environmental Engineering Supervisor - Community Development
The purpose of the Environmental Quality division is to protect the health of the public, the environment and promote effective onsite wastewater treatment. Authority for the wastewater program is delegated by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality to Coconino County's Environmental Quality program.
Under general supervision performs development services-related engineering work of considerable difficulty in the review and coordination of Community Development projects; creates processes in relation to wastewater disposal, drainage and public health issues, performs related work as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering and four years of experience working in an environmental or civil engineering related position, including two years of supervisory experience; OR Associate degree in environmental or civil engineering and five years of experience working in an environmental or civil engineering related position, including two years of supervisory experience; OR Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Current registration as a P.E. within the State of Arizona; Must obtain an Arizona driver's license by date of hire and maintain it throughout employment. Final job offer will be contingent upon a satisfactory 5-year Arizona Motor Vehicle Report.
The ideal candidate has current registration as an environmental P.E. in Arizona; project management training or experience; prior experience working with the public for a regulatory agency in a permitting field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: include considerable knowledge of environmental engineering principles and wastewater, water, stormwater, and water quality engineering design; computer operations as applied to engineering design and construction; problem analysis skills-prepare alternative regulations governing engineering, land use, and development. OR Current registration as an environmental P.E. within the State of AZ; imistic, innovative team where deep respect and outstanding customer service create dynamic solutions and engage leadership at every level.
