Surveillance Officer, PAGE - Juvenile Court Services
The Juvenile Courts Services in Page, Arizona is seeking a Surveillance Officer to perform professional work of moderate difficulty in surveillance case work for probationers predominately evening and weekends and holidays; performs related work as assigned; establish and maintain a positive and healthy work environment.
The minimum qualifications include an Associate degree in behavioral science or related field OR, any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Additional Requirements:
Must obtain an Arizona driver's license by date of hire and maintain it throughout employment. Must successfully complete a background investigation and criminal history check relevant to employment. Must achieve a certification of completion/proficiency of 40 hour Defensive Tactics Academy with annual 8-12 hour review. If Surveillance Officer chooses to be armed, must attend and pass 40 hour Firearms Academy and maintain 8 hours annual "shoot" for recertification purposes; complete a minimum of 16 hours of on-going education within the judicial system certified by the Committee on Judicial Education and Training (COJET).
The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth and the community; experience in regulation or re-regulation techniques such as yoga, mindfulness, or breathing exercises; experience in juvenile justice or any other cognitive behavioral program for youth.
This position is non-exempt from overtime.
This position is safety sensitive.
