  • Participate in the City of Flagstaff’s Drop off Day, Dump the Drugs, and Shred-A-Thon event on Saturday, April 24th at the Flagstaff Police Department parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to drop off the following items: Aerosol cans, batteries, CFLs, Electronic waste (such as computers, printers, and televisions), expired or unwanted medications, vitamins, or supplements, Medical syringes, Fluorescent tubes, Sensitive documents for onsite shredding.
  • Watch this YouTube video on how to waste less food and shop smarter.

  • Put a stash of reusable bags and to-go containers in your car.

  • Watch one of Dapper Dre’s Plastic Free Adventures videos on the Azulita Project’s website.

  • Take the City of Flagstaff’s Recycling quiz and record your score. Take again and see if you improve! 


  • Reduce your paper usage by changing your printer settings on your work computer. Click here for instructions.

  • Commit to bringing your own coffee mug and reusable water bottle with you to work.

  • Do you have a recycling receptacle at your desk? If so, take a picture to show us what a great Sustainability Champion you already are! If not, find a box or container to use for collection at your desk and decorate or print off a “We Recycle” coloring page to help you remember.
