Curbing Exposure and Protecting Our Community

The goal of the Communicable/Infectious Disease Program is to control and reduce the spread of infectious diseases that are reportable to the Arizona Department of Health Services.

The services offered through the Coconino County Health and Human Services Communicable/Infectious Disease Program are:

  • Comprehensive HIV prevention counseling, testing and referral
  • Counseling and education for communicable/infectious diseases
  • Counseling and education on prevention and risk reduction for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
  • Identification, testing and treatment of persons who are contacts to a communicable disease
  • Physical assessment and treatment of clients and their contacts for STDs or tuberculosis (TB)
  • Surveillance of communicable/infectious diseases in Coconino County
