BNSF crews reopened Cosnino Road railroad crossing at 3:00 p.m. today and are in the process of removing all project/detour signage. Thank you for your patience during this project!
The Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Company (BNSF) closed the railroad crossing located on North Cosnino Road just north of Interstate 40 in both directions for five days starting on Monday, Dec. 2. During this closure, motorists who would normally use Cosnino Road to access I-40 needed to use other I-40 access points.
This closure was in effect from 5:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2 until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6. Please note that this schedule was subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
This closure was necessary for BNSF crews to repair and replace crossing planks and conduct rail maintenance work along several hundred feet of eastbound and westbound track.
If you have any questions or concerns about this project, then please email Public Works at email@example.com or call BNSF directly at 928-864-9711.
