01/05/2018: Work on the Canyon & Cumberland Roads Drainage Improvement Project has been completed. Public Works is currently waiting for the project’s final as-built drawings. Once the as-builts are received, a letter of final completion will be issued.
Project Overview
The Canyon & Cumberland Roads Drainage Improvement Project included the installation of capped culvert crossings on Canyon Road and Cumberland Road. This project was intended to help mitigate seasonal flooding that occurs in the wash between these two roads, which can cause severe downstream impacts and render these roads impassable during monsoon season and other times of the year.
McCauley Construction is scheduled to work from 6:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday with some weekend work possible. Detours will be in place and flaggers, signage and other traffic control will be used to guide vehicles through the construction zone. This project is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year. This schedule is subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
