Wetlands - Home to Many Species
Coconino County Parks & Recreation hosted its first BioBlitz, a coordinated community effort to gather environmental data in one location, on Saturday, May 30, at Pumphouse County Natural Area.
Over 50 people helped identify over 150 species. We looked at birds, wetland wildlife, and wetland plants. Kids and adults enjoyed holding tiger salamanders and identifying snakes. Volunteer leaders with expertise in the fields of snakes, plants, birds, ecology, and biology led the various sessions. Download the
