The Clean Stream program uses Public Education and Public Involvement to help promote the stormwater protection program. Community involvement in Clean Stream includes Adopt-A-Wash and Community Monitor.
By practicing healthy household habits, residents can keep common pollutants out of stormwater runoff. These habits help protect our lakes, streams and rivers.
Community volunteers can be trained to assist with monitoring the conditions of local washes. Existing water quality must be established to document baseline levels. In addition to helping provide water quality data, volunteers will help build stewardship of our local waters.
