I am Adam Hess, my parents are Jim and Ann Hess, father to Carissa Hess and Audie Hess, I am a long-time resident of Coconino County and have considered it my home since 1976.
I attended elementary school, middle school, high school at Sinagua, and NAU. My parents are retired teachers of FUSD and their involvement as coaches and teachers has impacted so many of our residents. This is a large part of my sense of community and I strive to be involved and a leader throughout my life. I have served in the Army for 27 years and I am retiring this year.
Having recently moved to my dream home in Bellemont in District 3, I want to serve my community. Both of my amazing children both attend NPA middle school and both are athletes and season ski pass holders. After serving my country in the Army for 27 years, I am finally retiring and have moved into my dream home where I can enjoy my family, renew friendships, and become involved in the activities offered here.
I recently had the opportunity to utilize the DOD Skillbridge program as an intern in Supervisor Matt Ryan’s office. This internship allowed me to work on projects in Public Works, Community Development, and Parks and Recreation. Meeting the Directors and staff members in Coconino County encouraged and motivated me to continue to serve but on a more personal local level. The love I have for my community and my years of leadership experience lead me to believe I would be an asset to the Board.
