US 89 Collapse

Coconino County Emergency Manager Rob Rowley
tours the damage of US 89 south of Page.
Early Feb. 20, 2013, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) indefinitely closed a section of US 89 after a 150-foot section of roadway buckled and slid several feet down a steep mountainside known as the “Big Cut” 25 miles south of Page.

In an effort to keep Coconino County residents, travelers and visitors informed about repairs and traffic information on US 89, the County has established this site. Information contained here is current as of the date posted.

ADOT has established a webpage dedicated to the US 89 collapse, which can be found by clicking here.

** NOTE: Motorists and heavy-truck traffic are asked NOT to use N20 for access to Page. It is an unpaved, sandy road maintained for local use only!

N20 is not intended for use by large amounts of traffic, especially by semis, many of which have got stuck. **
