Award Program
Through meeting at least the minimum requirements of the program checklist, your home / building can receive a Sustainable Building Award Plaque and become a recognized community model that includes participating in local tours and events. Use one of the following checklists as a guide during your planning and building process!

Consultation
on sustainable building methods, materials and resources for residential, commercial, new and retrofit construction. We can assist during project concept, review your plans before you submit for a building permit or help you find ways to make your existing home or building more energy and resource efficient.

Resources
We provide resources on sustainable building products, methods, and practices; a resource directory of regional businesses that provide local sustainable building services and supplies; as well as, a comprehensive listing of tax incentives for sustainable development and renewable energy.

Educational Opportunities
We provide lectures, sustainable home and building tours, workshops, seminars and information on sustainable building classes that are offered at Coconino Community College (CCC) or Northern Arizona University (NAU). The program also provides educational presentations to groups, conferences, and schools.

Sustainable Building Citizens Advisory Committee
This is an informal committee (attendance not mandatory) comprising of building professionals, owner-builders, educators, government officials, students, and anyone who has an interest in being involved with the Sustainable Building Program and our efforts to promote sustainable development locally.

The intent of the meeting is to share resources and provide programmatic support. The meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month, usually at Willow Bend Environmental Center.  But, meetings can also be hosted at other locations around the community. Contact us if you are interested in learning more or would like to participate.
