Department Mission
Our mission is to support the County's task of creating and maintaining a culture of exemplary public service by recruiting talented, dedicated individuals and providing them with a workplace in which they are safe, productive, satisfied and challenged to realize their individual potential.

 

Personnel Division
General Administration: Provides general human resource support including HRIS administration, strategic planning, budgeting, and serving the department and the County through the provision of front-level customer service.

Recruitment: Collabroates with departments to identify their present and future staffing needs. Facilitates the hiring process to attract and retain a diverse, highly skilled workforce to support County services.

Employee Relations: Provides consultation services to departments and employee in the management of employee issues to assist in reaching resolution and minimize the County's liability.

Classification and Compensation: Provides a classification and compensation program that is valued by employees and enables the County to attract and retain a high quality workforce.

 

Employee Growth and Development (EGAD)
Oversee, plan, develop, and coordinate training for Coconino County employees to enhance employees' knowledge, skills, and abilities for current and future organizational needs, and to align with the strategic initiatives to improve the quality of service for Coconino County residents.


Risk Management Division
The Risk Management Division procures, administers, develops, and coordinates centralized services to all County Departments for loss control, safety, workers' compensation, employee & retiree benefits and a comprehensive liability insurance package. The division is also responsible for administering the self-insured retention fund as well as the review and processing of claims made against the County.
