CHILDREN VACCINES

Children qualifying for the federal Vaccines For Children (VFC) program receive all recommended and required vaccines free of charge with a maximum administration fee of $15.00. This includes children up to age 19 who are:

1) on AHCCCS or KidsCare

2) of Native American/Alaskan Native descent

3) uninsured

4) underinsured (insurance does NOT cover immunizations)

Children who have private insurance that covers immunizations can receive all vaccines that are mandated for daycare, preschool and school entry free of charge with a maximum administration fee of $15.00.

Children with private insurance cannot receive free vaccines if they are only recommended, not mandated by schools.  These vaccines include pneumococcal conjugate (PCV7), rotavirus (RV), Hepatitis A, human papillomavirus (HPV) and varicella #2 (chickenpox) unless the series was started at 13 or older. We encourage you to receive these at your child’s primary care provider, or you will have to pay full fee for services in clinic as we have to purchase private vaccines.
