Coconino County Zoning Ordinance
The Coconino County Board of Supervisors has adopted the Zoning Ordinance which sets forth land use classifications, divides the county into land use zones as delineated on the official zoning maps and sets regulations for the promotion of the health, safety, morals, convenience and welfare of the citizens of Coconino County. The Board of Supervisors has adopted these zones for the purpose of implementing the goals and policies of the Comprehensive Plan, to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Coconino County, to safeguard and enhance the appearance and quality of development of teh county, and to provide for the social, physical and economic advantages resulting from comprehensive and orderly planned use of land resources.
The Coconino County Zoning Ordinance was first adopted by the Board of Supervisors in 1964 and has been updated and amended since that time. The Zoning ordinance is available for view or downloading below; copies of zoning maps are available for review at the Community Development Department.
