Tell us your Coconino stories!
Welcome to Coconino County’s Arizona State Centennial web portal. Coconino County is proud to commemorate 100 years of Arizona Statehood with events, information, and dedicated legacy projects starting in the summer of 2011. Coconino County celebrates the shared history of our communities while working to better the life for current and future residents.
Arizona became a state on February 14, 1912 as President William Howard Taft signed the proclamation by Congress admitting Arizona into the Union on equal footing with all other states.
Coconino County established the Centennial Celebration Committee in May 2010. The goal of the Committee is to organize activities commemorating 100 years of Arizona Statehood by celebrating people, culture, and places in Coconino County.
