June 4, 2018: Thanks to everyone who attended the community meeting on Thursday, May 31 to review 60 percent plans for the Central Federal Lands Highway Division (CFL)'s Mormon Lake Road Project, which is scheduled to break ground in spring 2019. Following is some information from this meeting:

Project Overview

The Mormon Lake Road Project will include the mill, overlay and widening of the entire 9.8 miles of roadway along the western shore of Mormon Lake. This $20.7 million project is funded primarily by a Federal Land Access Program (FLAP) grant from CFL, which was awarded to the County last summer. The County’s match of approximately $5.5 million for this project will be funded by Proposition 403, the County’s Road Maintenance Sales Tax. Engineering for this project is expected to be completed this summer.
